Petzl Swift 900 RL

TOG Reviews's avatar TOG Reviews November 23, 2019

Is this thing Lit?? 🔥

Yup!!!

Unpacking

Looks amazing!!!

Excited for the sun to drop!! It’s almost a 3X difference from my current Petzl Actik core @350 lumens.

$120.00

Extra battery

$35.00

PROS:

  1. Super Bright with Reactive Lighting which is life changing!! I’m not exaggerating! My first run last night with this lamp was the most visually relaxing night run I have ever experienced. Zero eye strain as the computer adjusts the beam’s intensity as you literally just run with a free mind.
  2. Second strap harness and reduced weight results in a comfortable fit with zero light shaking while hitting diverse terrains.
  3. The lock is a sweet feature to prevent it from turning on while the lamp is in transit.
  4. Battery light indicator!! Enough said
  5. Bright AF!! Did I mention that?
  • Battery Life so far impressive! I purchased a back up just in case.
  • CONS:
    1. Water resistance? My charge indicator lights acting funny after my first wet run.
      Charge time 6+ hours.
No emergency whistle on head strap like the Actik Core. I thought that was a cool design feature.

Altra’s best Trail Running Shoe: The Altra Olympus 3.5 with “Max-Cushion”

TOG Reviews's avatar TOG Reviews August 14, 2019

    Product image for Green/Orange

They have arrived!!  Received them last night from REI earlier than anticipated!  Thank you REI!!!  I took them out last night for a “Sturgeon Moon” run and they just made me think why I waited so long to try the “max cushion”.  My feet have recently been screaming at me for all the miles we have done lately and my run would have been a miserable grind without these!!  They are literally like floating on air.  A little feel of the terrain is lost, but the fun of the “ride” is so worth it!  Pavement in the past made me cringe, but this morning the Olympus 3.5 made even the roads feel soft! Trap rock on the trail buggin’ ya?  These eat those annoyingly sharp rocks for breakfast/lunch and dinner.

    So Happy!  Try them!!!

    Pro’s:

    1. MAX Cushion!!!  So Comfortable !!
    2. Comfortable
    3. Comfortable

    Con’s:

    1. $150
    2. $150
    3. I’ll let you know…..  In love at the moment!!

My phone now charges while driving again!!

Bought this adapter because my phone would lose charge even though it was plugged into my older adapter.  Was hoping this would solve my issue, as newer devices seem to be very power hungry, especially if a GPS app is being utilized.

    Pro’s:

    1. It charges super FAST!!
    2. Not expensive @ under $25.00.
    3. USB-C connectivity!
    4. It works!  I LIKE!!!

    Con’s:

    1. Ummmmmmm.
    2. Nothing bad.  Just buy it!

    Pro’s:

    1. It’s like walking around with a wall outlet!  So powerful!
    2. USB-C!!  So much faster than the chargers in the past!  Should save lots of time.
    3. Easy to see battery status indicator.
    4. Recharges FAST!  About 4.5 hours.
    5. Charges my Iphone Xs Max about 5 times before needing a recharge.

    Con’s:

    1. Heavy!  I was hopeful it was more portable.  I ended up buying a Mophie “Powerstation” for my hikes. (Review to come!!)
    2. Hurt my checking account $129.99!

    I like it so far….
